simplyNAD+ vs Cymbiotika Liposomal NAD+: Precursor vs NAD+ Itself
By the simplyNAD+ Research Desk · September 2026 · Every figure below was taken from the manufacturer’s own website or a major retailer’s label listing, and we say so when a number could not be verified.
Cymbiotika’s Liposomal NAD+ costs $77 and leads with 300mg of NAD+. simplyNAD+ costs $25 and leads with 600mg of nicotinamide riboside. Those two numbers are not measuring the same thing, and understanding why is the entire comparison.
NAD+ and NR are not interchangeable
NAD+ is the coenzyme your cells actually use. Nicotinamide riboside is a precursor — a smaller molecule your cells absorb and then convert into NAD+.
That extra step sounds like a disadvantage until you ask why precursors were developed at all. NAD+ is a large, charged, phosphate-containing molecule. The reason the supplement industry sells NR and NMN rather than simply bottling NAD+ is absorption: intact NAD+ is broken down in the digestive tract before it reaches circulation. This is the standard position in the literature and it is why every NAD+ trial that has shown a rise in blood NAD+ used a precursor, not NAD+ itself.
Cymbiotika appears to know this, because the formula also contains 7mg of niacin — and niacin genuinely is an NAD+ precursor. It is 7mg, against a 300mg headline.

What Cymbiotika does well
They are a real company with real retail distribution, the packaging is beautiful, and the formula is not lazy — 1,000mg of TMG is a serious methyl-donor dose, and apigenin and phosphatidylcholine are considered choices, not filler. The liquid format is the same insight we had: people finish liquids.
Two things to know before you buy it. First, the studies Cymbiotika cites are on Lutemax 2020, the branded lutein and zeaxanthin ingredient, in the context of skin and eye endpoints — not on this NAD+ formula as sold. Second, there is 20mg of caffeine in it. That is small, roughly a quarter of a coffee, but if you are taking this at 6am alongside actual coffee, or you are caffeine-sensitive, or you are someone who tracks that intake, you should know it is there. simplyNAD+ has none.
The price gap is not small
Cymbiotika lists $77 for what its site calls a one-month supply. Retailer listings put the pack at 26 packets; Cymbiotika’s own page does not publish a count, so we are not going to state a cost per day for it. What we can state is the monthly figure: $77 versus $25.
Over a year, holding subscription pricing on both sides, that difference is several hundred dollars for a product whose primary active has an absorption problem the other one does not.
So which one
Buy Cymbiotika if you specifically want the TMG, apigenin and carotenoid stack, the caffeine is a feature rather than a problem for you, and the price is not a factor.
Buy simplyNAD+ if you want the molecule the clinical literature actually used to raise NAD+, you want 600mg of it, you would rather not take caffeine with it, and $25 versus $77 a month means something to you.
simplyNAD+ Daily is 600mg nicotinamide riboside, 250mg quercetin phytosome, 150mg trans-resveratrol and 40mg PQQ in one mixed-berry packet you drink straight — no water, no capsules, ten seconds. 30 packets per box, first box $25 with free US shipping. See the packets and pick your supply →
